At SunnaHealing UK we sell high quality Organic Ghassoul (Rhassoul) Clay.
This Ghassoul clay can be used as a natural alternative to commercially produced shampoos and soaps. It can also be used to create cleansing face and body masks.
In the 1985 the National Institute of Phytotherapy found that rhassoul clay contains high percentages of silica, magnesium, potassium and calcium. Two separate clinical studies carried out in the United States found that this clay has a range of benefits for the skin. These include:
• Reducing dryness
• Reducing flakiness
• Improves skin elasticity
• Improves skin firmness
• Improves skin texture
• Reduces skin oiliness
• Removes dead skin
Ghassoul clay can be used at home to easily create your own organic hair and body products and requires no specialist equipment or ingredients.
To create a face mask:
In a non-metallic bowl mix 20g of clay powder with water to create a stiff paste. This is then applied to the skin and left for 5-20 minutes before being washed off. If desired you can also add a few drops of argan or rose oil to the clay paste.
To create a natural shampoo:
In a non-metallic bowl mix 40g of ghassoul clay powder with 70ml of water and mix. This creates enough paste for one application on short-medium length hair. Apply the paste to your hair and then add water gradually while massaging it all over your head and hair. Continue this process until all of the paste has been rinsed away and towel dry your hair. No additional conditioner is needed as the clay naturally conditions.
To create a natural soap:
Keep a sealed tub of ghassoul clay in your bathroom and when required spread a small amount over the skin and then rinse, just as you would with regular soap.
